repurpose kill switch?
Hi all,
So I picked up a used Baja Dune 150 and am going through it and was wondering if I could repurpose the stop or kill switch to run lights? I am looking to add a 12" led light bar on the front and a rear led tail/brake light. Any reason I can't or shouldn't do it? Thanks Joe |

The kill switch is not rated for current so contacts are very small and will probably burn out in a short time. Second, if someone else was to drive it and was not told they could mistaken it for a kill switch in case of emergengy.

You could use it with a latching style relay. Push the button and the relay holds the circuit. But it may not be the most cost effective way to do it.
