It appears to be a GK-28. I have no info for locating that particular engine.

Just curious, why do you need a new engine? Is it seized up or missing a lot of parts? It may cheaper and easier to just rebuild this one. They are pretty easy to rebuild, at least as four stroke go.

This looks to be your buggy.

http://www.roketa.com/product/259/0/33913.shtml

It looks like you have a GY6 motor in it. Here is a link to some good information on working on the motor.

http://www.firenzee.com/gy6/

If you have a decent set of tools, and are looking for a new engine anyway, you can get a good working knowledge of how these motors work by trying to fix it yourself. Also if you get stuck, there are plenty of people here that will give you a hand. Also remember that a digital camera is your best tool, take plenty of picture and don't throw all of the nuts and bolts into a pile. For each group of parts that you take off, put the fasteners in some sort of sealed container and right their names on the container with a sharpie.

Good luck.

From my 1st dirtbike and atv engine using bins and labels were very helpful. With my 1st gy6 completely solo; bins, manual, youtube vids, and camera pics step by step helped immensely. That way If I ever had a doubt of a nut, bolt, or parts orientation I had my visuals for reassembly.

That is not the same engine as the Kandi. That motor although the engine looks to be the series A motor the problem is going to be with the transmission. The engine looks just like the crossfire with internal reverse. Cannot find parts for the tranny. Converting to a different type of engine will take some refabricating and may require a different axle. Roketa imported these years ago for only about 2 years before switching to the Kandi which looks very similar but uses the same type GY6 internal reverse as used in the HH or Trail Master. Wholesale these engines go for 900.00-1000.00. I currently have a customer who needs an output shaft which after searching over a year cannot find one. I had one made up which cost him 200.00. I can have them made cheaper in China but would have to purchase minimum 100 pieces. I have yet to see any used new type HH engines which might be a drop in for that engine and a new one will only be available through Kandi, HH, or Trailmaster.

Unless he has lowered the price the last one I purchased for a customer was just at 900.00. But also keep in mind that he will also have to purchase the shifter assy., two cables, cable control, sprocket, and necessary brackets, and there is no guarantee the sprocket will line up with the axle and I believe the rear mount is different.
