2009 Joyner SV 250
Hey All.
I pulled the trigger on a buggy. I'm picking up my 2009 joyner SV 250 this weekend. Is there anything new or special about the 2009 over earlier models or is it just newer? After blowing the coin on the perches price I'll have about 300 left, any thought on some "Must Have" upgrades? Keep in mind I'm about 225 lbs and I'll be riding in on the 4 wheeler trails abound the house here in OHIO. I'll post some pictures when I get it home. |

I`m running a White spring, 12gr rollers, and a Uni for now. Jets should be here tomorrow, will start with a 130 and go from there. I also ordered an adjustable CDI and coil along with the Iridium plug. All that should give you a good start (and me ) and should be right around the $300 mark. Contact Tom Syc, Northwestbuggy Parts, or Eric @ ********* Power Sports. All will give you great service and prices on your upgrades.
If your is truely an 09, it will have an alum. fuel tank and be the lighter weight version. Those are the sought after ones right now, so congrats on your purchase, you won`t be sorry.

You will really enjoy the Joyner. I own 2 09's and do not regret buying them!

Actually there is the early 09 which had the upgraded fuel cell and steel body panels and floor, then the other with aluminum body panels and floor. Count the teeth on your top sprocket most came with a 13, but the 12 will add more bottom end and more grunt in low. Call these guys http://www.robertsonstorquetubes.com/ and order one of their headers. It runs around $59 and couple it with a good performance pipe and it will open it up nicely. I put this, a Big Gun EvoR, 32mm pumper, UNI, and 17g rollers and it woke it up nicely. If you shop around you can do all of this for under $300. Congrats on the pickup.

Remove the airbox and put a filter of your choice directly on the carb and rejet step one. I really was impressed by the addition of the 17gram sliders and spring. The next mod for me would have to be tires. THE STOCK ONES SUCK! Put 23's on the front and 22 or 23"s on the rear. The taller/ better tires on the front improve steering. The next would have to be shocks for the front. Then.............

No you have to actually utilize your old flange and do some grinding to make it fit. The header comes in 2 pcs. and you have to mock it up and make your lines on it with a sharpie and have it welded. Do a search on Robertson torque tubes on BNews and you will see some pics of it. It is 1-1/4" but they can flange the end out to either 1-1/2" or 2".
