Real shocks?
are these oil filled shocks? http://www.appletreeauto.com/COIL-OV...-PAIR.-IRS-KP/ It doesnt say. but Im looking for some better shocks to put on my manco 606 buggy. And if these arent, let me know if you know about any decent shocks for my buggy that are under $100 please

I can't imagine a car shock not being at least oil filled . Since that site is also a forum- ASK and find out how wide the eye portion is, most car shocks won't fit in kart/buggy brackets.

Coilovers
Check the spring rate. It is probably a little to high for a small Gocart/Buggy. ATV shocks are probably closer to what you are looking for. I'm running Yamaha Blasters on the back of my Spider box. I have them on the softest setting and they ride alot better than the stock so called shocks/coilover spring holders.

Yeah I was starting to think the same thing. I'm mostly looking for fronts but I have a manco 606 where there's basically no wight on the front. And I don't want to soft but I've taken jumps with it and I think the front has yet to bottom out. Do you know where I could find a coilover set similar to what you have?

Coilovers
Try Craigslist.org or Ebay. I found some local and bought some on Ebay. From what I have read stay with the yellow coils or the white coils. I'm just now adapting the whites to the front. I have been running the yellows in the back and they are a better ride. I'm in the process of designing some brackets to bolt the coilovers to the front and maybe selling them. I'm going to try and finish bolting them on tomorrow. I will post some pictures if I am successful.

Coilovers
The spring spacing is wider on the white coils. The yellow ones are wound closer together. I'm no specialist on springs but I would think the more coils in the same space makes the rate higher. I'm making some brackets at work tomorrow to finish the front coil mounts.
