Ok,I like the idea of the 250.What do you all know about the Roketa gk-06(aka titan).I think it looks sweet.What about shaft drive?Is it dependable?Do I worry to much?(yes!!!!)Is it equal to the HH250gt?What do you think ?Have any of you ever bought from awesomebuggies.com ?

I would stay away from roketa, thge titan can be hard to get parts for. there is no comparison to the hammerhead. I can probably sell you a kinroad for about the same price

Hammerhead seem pretty good,however that roketa style is bad azz.Also bms,jcl make the same style kart as roketa are they any better.

I've got the Roketa GK-06 (well, a friend does but I've put so many parts on it I practically own it!

)

Of the 4 buggies my friends and I have, it's by far the rattliest, lumbering, oversized monster that has a tendency to fall apart. We have replaced more original parts on it than any other buggy - and the steering is awful.

The buggy is too big for many trails (VERY wide). It's OK if you have wide-open spaces to ride in or larger sized passengers, but otherwise it's just too dang big and heavy to be nimble on trails or jumping.

I'd recommend the Hammerhead, Joyner, Kinroad, or Carter. Yeah, they cost a little bit more, but you get a better machine and better support down the road.

If you want an idea of what it will be like to get spare parts for your Roketa, go to Roketa.com and look at the parts diagrams for the buggies. Pick a part at random and call them up and ask questions about the part, whether it's in stock, and how long it will take to get to you. If you can leave that conversation feeling good about it, then go for it!

Definitely stay away from most chinese karts, they are usually not made as well as American karts.

Josh, these are pretty much all China karts. Just cause they are named American Sportworks doesn't mean they are American.

To ATC, I went an looked at one of those and as others have said, it is one of the biggest POS karts I have seen. One of the ones that literally fall apart.

Choose something else is my advice.

the new kinroads are on my sight along with the 08 models. roketa, bms, jcl dont make there own but import others and put their decals on them. wireing and suspention partys are hard to get for them.

Thank you very much for all the great information.i guess I wont go with the gk-06(even though it a sweet lookn kart).After doing some of my own research it weighs 683 almost 200lbs more then other 250's,which has got to feel like your dragging azz.Getting oem/mods for it wasn't as hard as stated,sevral places have them in stock.The issue of it rattling/falling apart turn me off.Thanks mike for the insight,its the fourth vendor i have heard that from.Well thanks again,and I hope you all had a great T-day.

Getting mods for the GK-06 wasn't the issue: they use the same mods that all us dealers sell for the CN250. OEM engine parts are easy to get as well.

It's the OEM parts for the kart itself. Just because a site SAYS they have them, doesn't mean they are in stock and are often backordered for weeks or months. Meanwhile you're out the use of the kart until they get them in stock. This happened to me more than once with the Roketa. It wasn't THAT big of a deal since we weren't trying to go riding every weekend, but if I had a large piece of property that I rode on having the kart down for weeks would be unacceptable.

I have a Challenger which is made at the Roketa Factory and they also sell the identicle buggy. I have not had any problems different from Kinroad Blade ect. My single seat weighs just over 600lbs. They use thicker and larger diameter tubing than anyone else. I have several people call me to get them parts and haven't had a single issue as of yet. Now I do know to stay away from their 150's due to the fact they use that odball engine that performance parts don't fit. Their electrical connectors are all sealed connectors which is something the other big companies don't use. True that they are wide but this is true with any buggy using the long control arms, which lead to better stability and riding comfort. The width is as stated a drawback since you are limited to trails you can ride. I can not talk about the 2 seaters for which they have several sizes and styles but I will say hands down the single seater I have as compared to Kinroad, Blade,ect is by far a much beefier in the right places, buggy. When I get around to getting one of their 250 double seaters I will surely do an honest review of it. But for now the few people I know of who have the Roketa's all of which are 250's love them. TOM

the tranny is differant on those, no chain its all internal. also it only has 1 wheel pull so getting stuck is easy and climbing hills is not good. parts are a pain to get thru bms

Definitely go with the general consensus here. I had a buggy that ran great and handled extremely well and I felt was very well built, but my main concern was that I could absolutely find no source of parts for the chassis so I chose to sell it and replace it with a brand that is easy to find parts for. Take everyones advice and go with a Carter, Hammerhead, Joyner, or Kinroad ( I believe this is the order BIGE recommends to his Customers) you will be happy you did in the long run.
