Default Carbide stock air filter opinion

What is your opinion on the stock air filter on carbide? To restrictive?
I kind of like the idea of the air scoop.
It is also better protected from the elements.
I guess if I did change it out I could always use the scoop like BEAR and his red neck ram air LOL.
Anyways just curious.

"It is also better protected from the elements".
This is the reason that I've left mine stock, ours has a tendency to get muddy!

So, I am thinking of buying a Unifilter and just clamping it on inside the stock box which comes with air scoop.

You like mud and water? Keep the box and make sure your filter is sponge not paper....

MiamiEddie I not a huge fan of mud and water but after growing up in South Florida for 25 years I am no stranger to it LOL.
I do prefer dirt but when the occasional mud or water crossing is there I don't want to worry about my filter.
Sponge filters have always been my choice too.

Another quick question: have any if you had a problem with grease fittings.
I tried to grease my joints; I tried mini grease gun and standard grease gun but the grease does not go into the fittings. If just oozes out of the gun around the fittings.
Suggestion or info?

I really dig the intakes on the carbides! I sold one last year to a good friend of mine and kinda regret not swapping the intakes around first!
