Default checking out some buggies today

Ok went out look'n today TSC has the helix on sale for $1529 and the carbide for $1869.I did a little test fitting and the helix feels a little tight(knees up around the steering wheel) is that about right? The carbide fits a little better with the tilt wheel. It's to bad the helix did not fit better or i would have brought it home.Judging by what i have heard a person 6'2 should fit right. can the peddles be adjusted. Also what do you all think of the 04 hh 150's found a clean one for $1400 are they good?Let me know what you all think.

The Carbide is very comfortable. For tall guys I'm not sure which one would be better. Only you can make that decision and it sounds like the Carbide fit you better.

That's too much money for an 04 HH in my personal opinion but they are pretty decent machines.

Sometimes you can catch even bigger discounts at TSC. For example, they just had a 25% off coupon week before last with a max of $200 off and it was good on the Helix and Carbide as well even if they were on sale. Ask your store about that. Maybe you can get them to come down even more.

Cool thanks, that price is with 20% off sale.Yes the carbide fit me a little better but the helix looks tough. Are parts and mods easy to get with these two machines. Also what do you think about a fmf pipe on these 150's I heard you can put a slip on ,on a 150cc?What do you think a good price would be for a hh 150 2004/5?

Question #1.
Mods are very easy to get your hands on. Check some of the vendor's ads on this sites homepage. As for parts, I haven't had to buy parts yet, so I don't know how hard they are to get. From what I hear, ASW is a pretty good company.

Question #2.
Yes, FMF does make slip on exhaust... thing that you can put on a 150. It will make your buggy sound a little deeper without making it too obnoxiously loud. Buggymaster has got a video of a an FMF slip on on a Helix on one of his Youtube videos. To me, it didn't make that big of a difference. I personally want something that will make it sound very low tone.

Question #3.
A good price for a HH 150 would vary. It would depend on the condition of the buggy. An 04? That's almost six years old. I know some cars (Hyundai) that won't even last six years. Do you have any pics of the buggy I could look at?

If the HH is in nice shape, I still wouldn't want to put any more thana say $800 into it.

We had one of the slip ons and loved it. Parts are easy to get for either machine through gokartsrus.com which is one of the vendors on this forum. Just look on the left pane of the home page.

If you are 6'2 you are gonna be really cramped in a 2004 HH 150. I am 5'10 and I am a little more cramped than I care to be in my 2004 HH.
