Pictures I hope
Ok guys I hope I got some pic comeing through. No way is the number on the driver side. Even ASW PDF manual files shows it on the driver side just ahead of the oil drain plug. Mine is down low on the passenger side on a flat spot just in front of the crankcase oil screen. If the pic come through you will see what I am saying. If you can't read the label it says the the motor was made by Shanghai Tong Jian Sports Equip.in China. It was imported by Hammerhead Off Road Inc. The engine family is ATJPX. 150 gal. It certainly looks like a GY6 Oh yea the rocker cover is held on by four bolts and the exhaust come out the faceing down from the head. Am I going to have to get in touch with Hammerhead to find out what I have. Their is no problem now because it is new and is running great. But what happens after. You don't know I might tear it up a bit. Anyway any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks much. The cdi is ac. So now I know what I have and thats always nice to know. Not going to do any mods to the motor right now. I am doing a few mods to the cab. I am 6ft (around the belly) Maybe not that much, but bigger than I should be and you would have to add up 2 or maybe 3 of your ages to get to me. So I am makeing it a little easier to get in and out of. Now I know how to send pic maybe I will send a few when I am finished. Not doing anything too drastic. Seat stuff and a push bar and ?????

just for clarity- the number stamped in the reverse unit is just a part number?

Ok that makes sense being a part number. But why not a model number someplace???? Not going to worry about it. Everyone says gy6 parts will fit so thats good enough for me. ASW says it is a gy6 clone. Hey Olderthan I was wrong I guess my cdi is dc. Just to let you know you have a few years to catch up to me. Like the man said you can't stop ageing but they can't make you get old. I am 72 and you can't ask my wife about me anymore so you have to listen to me. Thanks all. Later

I'm really impressed Pogo that you still play in the dirt at 72!!! Age is relative anyways, my wife says if I can't beat him then drive faster!!!!!

You got it. Drive faster and longer. And always look up not down. 72 is only a number nothing else. Have a good day. Later

ASW machines are unique in a couple ways. Where most use an external planetary set for the reverse, ASW reverse is internal. The other thing about them is that the CDI box is DC based where most, like Paulie's will likely be, are AC based. Paulie, the wiring diagram is in the engine tech section. I need to put a copy in the electrical, just been lazy. Provided by JakeTheSnake.
