Default Fuel tank leaking from seams!

Hello,
Does anyone know how to deal with a leaky fuel tank? If i fill up close to the seam it starts to seep through. The seam doesnt seem wide enough to fill it in with anything. Im sure some of you crafty guys probably know a way to fix this issue. Thanks.

Can it be crimped? If not it seems welding it would be the only other option.

Obviously wash the tank out with soap and water before you weld it.

internal tank treatment from eastwood etc might do the trick. for the price of a replacement tank of some sort, it's almost not worth bothering with. check out www.*************.com for some low cost ideas.

Thanks.
Is it plastic?
Melt it. Just try not to burn it by holding the flame to it, but not too long at a time.

Metal?
Have a soldering iron and soldering wire?
