Default 02 recon is a go!

picked up an 02 recon along with the polaris trailblazer. its had a relatively layed back life span. has the original tires still in good shape. no faded plastic. i did replace the seat cover, airfilter, and lower steering stem bearing which was completely missing!. the inner race was all that was left, the outter race was also gone! the guy said the electric start was "BROKEN" nope...the battery was bone dry. refilled and put it on the trickle charger for a few days on and off and its good as new. both in. &ex valves were too tight. set back to spec.changed oil, new plug.its now turn key, and ready to hit some puddles!lol

I like the recons, except the ES models, too many moving electrical parts, but would be good for a buggy, besides the shaft drive, of course.
