Unhappy engine ??????

I have a helix 150cc buggy that died while my 12 year old was driving. The rear wheels are locked and melted aluminum came out on the left side air vent discharge hose. Need some input on what might be wrong.

CVT- either the variator is toast or the driven is hung up on a broken or wore out belt. You'll have to remove the cover to see the issue.Take some pics if you can.

I agree sounds like a bad case of CVT belt melt. And a few other items
