Default complete governor removal????

On the kawaski with the blown governor I'm working with, I'm wondering if I should replace it or not. while it may seem a no-brainer to leave it off, the engine is listed as a pressurized lubrication type. Where the gear sits in the cover ( a cover pic is in my yerf upgrade thread) it almost appears as if the area behind the gear is made as a pretty large passageway to direct the oil flow. I'm wondering if leaving the gear out will cause an oiling issue. anyone have any knowledge of this type of setup??
