Default PGO Bugxster 150cc hiccup/jolt

Hello all,

After a lot of researching and troubleshooting without success, I turn to you for help. The buggy starts, and idles great but from about 1/2 throttle or uphill it gives a jolt/hiccup every few seconds, as if it pulls backwards. It feels mechanical, and I have not been able to figure out from where. It only happens underload. If I let go of the throttle it does not do it.

It has no mods, and so far I have replaced:
- air filter, oil filter, battery, spark plug, CDI, ignition coil, CVT belt and rollers

I have checked the carburetor, thinking it would be dirty, but it was completely clean.

I suspected the external reverse gearbox assembly, but after inspecting it, it does not appear to have any damage or grind or anything out of ordinary. I'm able to set it to forward and reverse without problem.

Next part which I will replace is the clutch, as it may be slipping, but unsure if it will fix it.

Would really appreciate any help, as I'm desperate at this point.

If you haven't already found the issue- it sure sounds like a clutch issue!
