Default opinions on the Carter Bro. GTR 250 buggy

i'm looking at a carter gtr 250 for sale and i need some opinions from those of you who own them. are they reliable, easy to find parts, etc. i have a hammerhead 250 now but i looked at the carter before i bought mine. they always seemed to be out of my price range but this one might be doable. let me know. thanks
DAVE

One of my favorite machines. The parts are generally expensive though. I did a review on ours in the reviews forum. Know that you can get brand new shipped to your door for $3k when doing your pricing. Check the track attack section too for vid.

thanks for the input. it's on e-bay and the starting bid is $1,500. i have to find out what year it is and the miles on it. looks like it's in decent shape though.

I would ask for some additional pics by email, especially one with the steering in the straight ahead position. The one pic they have looks like the drivers side is all out of whack, probably just the angle of the pic. If it is this one they put a reserve on it which is probably in the $2300 range if I were a betting man.

the guy listing it said that an older man won it on a game show and the reserve is very close to the starting bid. it's a six hour drive for me to get it if i win it so we'll see.

naw, i just watched it to see what it went for. nobody bid on it. the starting bid was $1,500 which didn't seem bad but you know what they say....if it looks too good to be true, it usually is.........it was too far for me to drive anyway. i'm looking a little closer to home. i'll find one sooner or later.

Wow! $1800 for that 250 is a heck of a deal, even if the drivers side front is out of alignment as the pic seems to show. Someone got lucky, and maybe they'll join up on here and tell us about it! lol

I got one of those $3K deals. My son is 10 and has down syndrome and autism. He thinks it is just great for cruising up and down the back roads. The daughter loves going through the mud.
