Default baja dune 150 ball joints

Well, I saw they were bent, and during my little vacation, I snapped one. I'm told the tomberlin has a tougher setup, but when I look I see them labeled as "14mm upgrade" Do I have to drill and tap to make that work?
I sell tractor parts, so I'm tring to find a supplier that can look up by sizes and match something up.

yes you will have to run a tap
to change from 12mm to 14mm
the next mod should be shocks
will help stop the beating your front

So how was Gruber? I would have loved to go but just don't have the funds at the moment.

Gruber was good. Muddy, and the track had just hosted a motorcross event, so it was a little torn up.

I'm thinking about going riding Memorial Day. What's good in the Tulsa area?

do the upgrade from tomberlin... ge tthe 14mm joints!!!

that is 14mm X 1.50 thread

I put it in mine and never looked back... drilled them out with a hand drill too!!! lol just make it straight!

Also, while they are off the buggy for the beefing up, might as well beef up the lower a-arms where the shock mounts... I cut off the mounts, grounded them smooth, and added a couple pieces of 1/4" flat stock steel (one on top, the other on bottom) and welded them to the a-arm, and then made my own shock mounts ( a little wider for new shocks)... I had to beef them up because one of my shocks just randomly tore off!!! just a thought to consider!

I don't know as of yet we have only been doing this since last Aug. and have not had a chance to go anywhere and now we have a surgical procedure we are saving for which is gonna keep us out of the game for a while. I am in the process of lining out the buggies and getting them up for sale. I was hoping to take my son for one ride before we let them go, but not sure if that will happen or not.

Man I hate to hear that. But I fully understand. Toys are still just toys. My boys had to earn the money for their buggy. I sell antique tractor parts, and my salvage yard was getting full of junk. They collected and seperated the metal so it would bring top dollar. When they discovered my brass radiators if cleaned of all other metal were worth $2.85 a pound, they attacked them. So the money didn't realy come out of any budget.
Being self-employed I understand what it mean to "save-up" for needs.
Take care!

Thanks for the sentiments. At the moment I have a nighttime job and am working to get my Garage door business off the ground. Had a fairly good amount of jobs this last week but still need to get out and pound the pavement and get some word of mouth going. Once the word of mouth gets going the rest will take care of itself as the conglomerate competition in this area are really sticking it to people hard, so there is a lotta room for me to help people save money and make a decent wage at the same time.

Good for you! Your on he right track. I have been in the residential construction business for over 35 years. People are sick of the larger "chain " companies coming into their homes with a lot of bull and hard sell tactics. I have people call me frequently asking if some kitchen, bath or other company is giving them the straight info. Sadly, most of the time my answer is no! For example: a large nationwide company gave an estimate for repairing a walk in shower. The grout was bad with some slight water damage. The estimate was $6,000.00!!!! The shower needed to be ripped out and the whole bathroom structure was in jeopardy of rotting away! They were told by the salesman this needed to be done pronto and assumed he could schedule for the work to start. The clients were told if they didn't sign the work order that day it might be too late to take advantge of this "deal"?
' I fixed the problems for $540.000 they gave me a $200. tip for being decent and fair.
Stick to your principals, it will pay off in the long run. it's better to make 3 slow nickles than one fast dime! Word of mouth travels fast for an honest man in this field. faster for a crook!
