not leaking from shafts it is coming from behind the electrical part that is in cvt case. maybe bad o-rings? also where do you check level of gear oil? i can only find fill and drain plugs thanks for the help

Well, I just cracked my CVT open for the first time last week, but just thought I would throw out some suggestion.
O-rings do go bad so that could be a possibility, also I have a 150cc so not sure about your 250cc.
On mine I think it is similar to a dirt bike. There is a bolt on the right side and when you open that it is the max fill line. you fill it until it it is full or the proper amount (ounces).
Good luck troubleshooting and hopefully someone else chimes in with more info and knowledge.

gear oil "usually" gets in from the seal around the main shaft the clutch rides on.
