Default 2017 HH 150 GTS - Gearbox sensor

There is a sensor right behind the gearbox arm on my 2017 Hammerhead GTS 150. This sensor is not currently connected to anything. I see no matching connector on any part of the wiring harness. I removed the sensor and it looks like it's either for transmission fluid temperature or level (I know, no guff).

I don't see this sensor in any parts diagram I've been able to locate online.

Does anyone out there have a 2017 HH 150 and, if so, is this sensor connected to anything on your buggy?

I bought this buggy used for a low price and it had a hard life. It's nearly 100 percent back to operating like new again.

My guess would be a F-N-R indicator, or maybe just neutral.

I still don't know. One of these days I'll get it figured out.

Will the buggy start in gear? If not, maybe it's a neutral safety switch?
