Default Stuck seat belts

The driver's seat belt on my Carbide gets locked in. How can I get it to unlock. This is getting very frustrating.

I had the same problem and was taking them apart all the time the last time i used anti seize and no problems so far. It seems to be holding up much better than the wd40 or grease i've tried in the past.

the dry spray you can buy at walmart
works best for me wd40 seems to gather more dirt and dust
i use it to clean with and then replace it with the other spray

inside the part that says do not
is a spring & a ball
you can spray inside with lube
spring may be weak or bad

Same thing happened to my passenger side , turned out the spring was too weak. We ended up replacing it with another factory seatbelt asm, not a cheap part but it works like a charm now. It's definitely a critical part too.
