Default Problems with new CVT upgrades.

I have a ASW Carbide 150cc buggy and just added the following upgrades:
UNI Filter,130 Jet,10 Gram Sliders and 1500 Yellow Clutch Spring.
After the upgrades at takeoff engine revs and feels like the clutch is slipping then after about 5 seconds eventually grabs and has great power. Almost all low end torque is gone. After riding for about 15 minutes went back in to the shop and pulled cover back off and everything looked fine. Replaced the 10 gram sliders with the old stock rollers and my low end came back but engine does not seem to make the mid and upper range power like it did with the 10 gram sliders. Measured my belt for wear and it was at 19.2 mm which is still above the wear limit but have a new on the way just in case it is what's causing the slippage.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a link to video of the variator. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yX92yXkr7iE

basically, it is doing what it is supposed to. With such a light slider, what it is doing is what you should expect it to do. That setup would be for doing a lot of hill climbing and such.

If you really lost torque then you have a problem. But if it's just widing out faster than it's doing it's job. Your basicly running 8g rollers. Thats low. I would look at 10g rollers or 12g sliders. Have you tried to climb any hills to see if you truely lost low end. Also, the stock spring may work better with those lite weights. Your main spring controls the shift. If the weights are lite it takes more rpm to push the spring. If the weights are to lite they cant move the belt cause the spring

Thanks for the welcome and suggestions. I added a link to some video of the variator to my first post. Don't have any hills where we ride to check how it would do on them. We have a very tight track in the woods with a lot of s-curves and 180's and was thinking the lower sliders would help us coming out of those turns but all it does is rev with no pull. Before with the stock rollers you could gas it in the turn and it would light the back tires up, slide around the turn and power hard out. Now it won't even get the tires spinning.

your sliders 10g are equal to about 8 rollers
you will have to change to get your low end
back

It sounds to me like you got a granny gear now. Lots of torgue but no umph. The only other thing it could be is the main spring is to lite to down shift fast but with your se up I just dont see it. If you want some umh on a short track try an a11 cam

I believe your right on the Granny gear idea. Think I am going to get some 12 gram sliders and new teflon coated variator and see how that does for now.

I'm not sure if this would be an issue, maybe some of the more knowledgeable members can add to this. I am wondering if possibly by changing from your rollers to sliders changed your ratio and if a larger sprocket might help you out with more bottom end. Might count the teeth on your sprocket and post it up to see peoples thoughts.

Looks like things are better now. Turned the belt around late last night to where we could read it but only drove through the yard a little, didn't seem to help. Today I bought a universal FMF silencer and install it and it got a little bit better. After about 10 hard laps around the track it got 100% better. Pulls great now and is making a ton more power. Checked the top end on the road with my car and hit 43MPH. Thanks for all the suggestions and help.
