Default Newbee from New Jersey

Basically bought my niece a used Rattler XLT. A little rough but ran a good 3 hours before I have to replave the belt which I believed the previous owner when he told me it had a new belt. Or maybe it was just the miss adjusted brake . Anyway, new to this stuff but looks like it could be fun. To small for my fat butt to get into so I won't be driving it.

Thanks for the welcome. Vernon, NJ.
Thanks for the offer. I'm pretty good with a wrench after 20 years as a Navy boilerman and owning a couple of Mustangs that I'll never be done with. But the clutch has me a little baffled right now. Some how it's getting oil on it. and the driven clutch two out of the 6 little black rubber tabs are missing. Ordering more today.
I do need to find a downloadable manual for this machine, if some one can hook me up.
I know this is just a first step for her. She'll want something bigger and faster once she's used to this one.

can you put up some pics? if it's a 5 to 6 hp tec motor, oil may be coming from the governor shaft, common little leaky area.
Used to live in Blairstown (among other nj locales) and race mtb over at great gorge.

Welcome. Do you have a picture of it?
http://www.***************** is great for info.

Manco is now named American Sportswork in you go here -> http://www.americansportworks.com/manuals_1XXX-2XXX.php I think your model number is 285 maybe...
That is where a picture comes in handy. Good luck.
You might want to consider getting one for yourself too. Like a 150cc.

2SlickNick, Think it may not be powerful enough to pull this big butt of mine, Don't think my hip I had replaced in April would like the bouncing around either.
