brakes not working?
I am getting brake fluid through the master cylinder and the caliper when I pump them but its still not stopping? Could my disc be bad? I don't understand because its a brand new caliper and pads and it still not stopping
|

If you take the caliper off and press on the brake pedal can you see the piston moving out of the caliper? If yes, your pads must not be in right or your caliper not mounted properly....blocking the caliper piston. If it is not moving, you still have air in the system or your master cylinder is bad/line blocked. I had trouble with mine last week and had cotaminated fluid...after flushing the old fluid out and filling and bleading....master cylinder is back working again.

Check the adjustment rod @ the master cylinder as a small adjustment can make a huge difference- adjust to lengthen the rod.

where is the best place to adjust the rod? at the pedal or @ the master cylinder? I can't figure out how to move the rod anywhere other than the pedal and I can figure out which tools to use since its a rounded cable.

Post a pic of the brake set-up- usually you have a threaded rod at the master cylinder with a jam nut and a nut to adjust the rod at the pedal.

I'll post a picture tomorrow, When someone pushes the brakes I can see the pads moving slightly but not enough to stop the rotor. Which is making me think that its the rotor but the manual says the service limit is 3mm and its way thicker than 3mm.

Take a pic of your master cylinder- doubt it's the rotor, still sounds like air still in the system or an adjustment
|
