is the end of the axle flared now? When I have a stubborn hub I use a bolt stightly smaller than the axle and drive that into the axle to prevent it from swelling up on the hub. Can you make a hub puller? plate steel with the bolt pattern drilled into it with a slightly smaller bolt than the axle about an 1-1/2" to 2" long welded in the center, then get 4 bolts 3" long with the same thread as the hub and tighten them up and tap on the axle to jar it free.( if your hub is studded then adjust the puller plate and center bolt where you can tighten the nuts down equally)If the wheel is the hub then you need to try and drive the key stock out first.Good luck

The wheel is right on the axle single nut with a key in it

You need to try and drive the key out- overheating from a bad bearing will almost weld the key to the axle.If the slot for the key opens all the way out the threads then you could try drilling out the key with a smaller bit than the key not damaging the axle. When you were trying to hammer the wheel off were you just hitting around the wheel or using something at the hub next to the axle?

Yes used a crowbar and bfh
and hitting around the wheel with a rubber mallet I will try and drill the key |

drilled out the key still no movement going to try a huge c clamp or wheel puller
can i drill holes in the wheel and pull it like the hub puller you talked about pushing on the axle or am i asking for problems |

You may break the weld around the hub and it'll warp the wheel-but if replacing the wheel is a better option than the axle go for it.

got the tires inflated but not holding air long. fix a flat and reinflate
gas up but gas is leaking from the carb. guess the float is stuck. i hate tecumseh carbs |

I've expanded the dingo project to another dingo. 2 is better than 1, needed a home for that tecumseh 6.0hp anyway.
