Tires for Carbide
I'm looking to get new tires for my Carbide and wondered where everyone gets theirs from? The sizes, 19x7-8 and 21x10-10 seem to be a not so popular size while doing some searches. My next question is, I would like to go a little bigger as I have some clearance issues getting to the trails I ride and wondered how big I could go before it's too big and I start experiencing other problems. Thanks!

Not sure which kart you have. But on my Yerf 3206 I have 20 7 8 on the front (very common size) and 22 11 10 on the rear. (again, very common)
Where in Ohio are you? I got many tires from Greater Cleveland Tire here in Cleveland.

In my searching I came across this http://www.buggymasters.com/forum/al...pictureid=1105
I wonder if there any issues with the turning radius and the front wheels? How much low end torque is loss with those larger rear wheels? Looks like it has a real decent ground clearance. for rock and limb filled trails.

That is what I intended putting on mine, but the extra inch of ground clearance sounds really appealing to be me. Other than the sprocket which might be in my future, with all my mods I would hope I could say the same.
I really like the size of 23" tires all around as long as I don't lose that turning radius that the carbide is known for.

I am gonna measure how much room I have to work with this week (increasing front tire size).

I should have mentioned, your stock tires aren't true to size. They are about an inch shorter than what they say they are.
You have plenty of clearance for 23" all around. Kinda overkill though.

Plenty of room....? Sweet.....
Over kill huh? I was just thinking about rutty trails, rocks and logs...making sure ground clearance is there.

Totally your call, get what you think you need.
Im going for taller and wider for as cheap as possible, i dont want to spend big money to put tires on a $1000 machine that will never be able to fully utilize them anyways. Looking at the rear mud flap, i think you "might" need to move it forward. Thats super easy, just drill a hole further forward.

Thanks for the info. I think I might stick with stock rear rims and throw 22's on rear.
But if it will fit and not mess with turning radius or hit frame I would like to got with 23's up front. If you can let me know how all works out with new tires. Also where did you get your 39t sprocket and chain?

I wont be buying the tires for awhile i but when i get them i will start a thread with pics.
I got the chain and sprocket from mpsracing.net. i can post a link if you need it. The new chain wont be long enough, i had to take some links from the stock chain to make it long enough. Very easy to do.

I get mine from Tractor Supply. Just tell them the size and they will order them for you.

Stock tires? Aftermarket?
If aftermarket, what kind? What size? What ply?
