Long Travel GSXR 750 Buggy
Its time to finish this thing. Instead of adding to the other thread Ill start a new one,if anyone wants to see the hole build here is a link.
http://buggymasters.com/forum/showthread.php?t=416 Its a good thing that it took a long time to get to this point because Ive learned a lot and I have new ideas on what i want to do with it. For the last two years it has had a gy6 150,22'' atv tires and 15'' of travel front and back(yes the swing arm). The steering rack was to long so it had BAD bump steer,so it had limit straps to keep it at around 11'' or so of travel. Now it will get new aarms front and back, with was 58'' and will be 70'',the right size steering rack, truck wheels and tires, and other goodies.

Make sure to keep us posted with lots of pics. Building a long travel from scratch with a sport bike powerplant is on my to-do list.

Using the f-150 cv save over half the money of a 930 set up.The hole cv axle is $45,you only use the outer cv and scrap the rest.I know its wasteful but 930 micro stubs are around $140 x2,so a 930 set up wil start at about $720 or so.
The f-150 outer cv goes to 45 deg. the 930s go around 26 deg.

soapkart i got the wifes buggy done but not much on mine.I built an aarm, its a bottom and i think its 22'' long and i think the tops will be 19-20'' long.Added to the bumper or nose to make it a little higher and follow the lines of the side of the buggy better.Cut the roof and a,b,c,pillers off,so I can make the roof 3'' higher. The way it was with a helmet I only had a few '' to the tube from top of helmet.
Ill be back on it in a few weeks and get some pics up.

I dont know what I was thinking about when I said the aarms were 22''.I have done some work on this thing and the aarms are 27 bottom and 24 top.I have one wheel on now and it has 23'' of travel.I have pic. on photo bucket if anyone wants to see,I dont get much of a response on this site, if that changes Ill do more.

http://www.buggycountry.com/forums/8...triple-r-buggy People are funny some one could learn a lot from watching a build even if it not a yurf, the same work still applies from this to a yurf. It cost less than $8 to build these spindles and I know a trick to do it very easy that anyone could build them for any buggy.Oh well if you questions let me know and check photobucket for new pics from time to time if you want.Im not trying to be a douche but it takes a lot of time to post for no reply, thats not worth my time.

x bird I took the pic with my phone so they arent very big.
Bear I used 1/8'' flat bar that was $0.98 a foot and used about 3' each one,so it cost about $6 for both spindles. The wheel hubs are for a ford ranger ifs 4x4,$35 each but yall wont need hubs like that. for a buggy around 700lbs or under 1/16 flat bar would be fine and use what ever yall use for the wheel hub.

Great job on the spindles. What are you using to cut everything out? Are these your own design or are you basing it on something? Is there a specific reason you went with 4x4 hubs? I'm looking forward to more info on your new power plant and IRS setup.
The yerf-dogs are great but it just feeds the desire for something bigger, faster and stronger. |

On the spindles I made it out of a folder and taped it together, put it on to see that it fit. Then took the pieces and traced them out on flat bar and cut then out with a torch.I did design them my self.
I used the 4x4 hubs because it is cheep cant break them, they will last for ever on a buggy and I wanted to use dot tires. Dont forget its easy, they bolt on and they will be on the back also.the back are f150 hubs and outer cv are f150, they have the same spline as a 930 cv that I have for the inter. the motor is a gsxr 750 it makes i think 130hp stock,it has bigger jets 145 i think and after market exaust. The bike was fast it went around to 90 in first gear.
