Default Hello

Hey guys. I'm from southern West Virginia. I've been planning to build something smaller scale, been used to offroad trucks. So I plan to build a 2-seat buggy powered by lawnmower parts. Probably ATV front end, dual swingarm rear, 17hp B&S twin, and a 5-speed manual transaxle. Farther down the road I want to build something with a lot more power, but I'll start slow.

I ran across the dual swingarm idea online. Not sure if the guy ever finished it though. Here's a couple pics and a link to the rest. They're dated 2005 though.

I remember reading that thread way back when. If I'm not mistaken he had to modify those rear arms so they could handle the torque. I can't remember if he widened each arm or I also kind of think he welded the two arms together and made it one big rear swing arm assembly. I'm pretty sure he welded them together. So anyways,Welcome to the site, great bunch of people in here that love to help. I'm sure that whatever you want to do , you can get it worked out here.
Welcome to the site, Snoopy

Thanks for the welcome. Welding the two arms together really defeats the purpose of it all. Wish I could find some follow up from that guy.
