Default New from Fla Ga

Just picked up a 2011 HH GTS 150 w/100 total miles. My first buggy (I'm 61) is destined for use at our vacation cabin near Helen, Ga. Have 7 acres up there. Live in Jax, Fl but get to the cabin once a month. Looking forward to learning, tinkering, and having fun riding.

That's like a 9hr drive isn't it? From here to Orlando is around 7 but Jax is slightly closer... Idk man but that's a crazy drive each month! Helen is amazing though... Beautiful country up there

7 actually. 95 to 16 to 1 to 17. 3 hrs of interstate then 4 on two lanes. Can do more interstate but only by going thru Atlanta otherwise known as the LA Traffic Jam of the East, as you well know.

Not ideal but well worth it. Our place is a slice of heaven and will be the retirement home in a few years. So we leave around noon on a Friday, spend Sat. And Sun. there then take a vacation day to drive back Mon. Weekends like this one let us save the vacay since Mon. is a holiday.

Thanksgiving, Xmas, and usually once a summer we can spend a week or 10 days there. Friday I'm trailering the Outlander in the pic - my gf's new toy. Next trip I'll get the buggy up there.

Have you been to Dahlonega? Beautiful out there as well and if you're up for towing your kart there is the Whissenhunt trails up there. Also NEARBY your way up there is Durhamtown (I think it's somewhat close on your route...) which is off-road central for the SE (minus Carolina Adventure World) definitely worth checking out both!

Yeah, Fox, I've been all over N Ga and most of NC. We're bikers as well so we ride all the good roads we can find. Have heard about Durhamtown - it's a couple hours south of us I think. Will look into Whisenhunt but we don't have a trailer so the current plan is to cut a trail through our property and play at home.
