Talking Spiderbox belt replacement

The engine seems to run fine. I can hold the kart back in the grass and it barely spins a tire. Would the top speed be affected as well?

My Kilowatt with 9hp Robin ex27 will shred the tires if i try and hold it back.

Is there a how to on belt replacement on here? this is my first 150cc kart ever.

Thanks

Here's a vid on changing rollers but shows what you'll need to know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPA6VK9cP20

Yes- worn rollers/sliders, dirty or damaged variator, clutch spring that's been over-heated and lost it's "spring"(tension). Then moving farther back- the gearbox could need fluid, a bad bearing. Sorry but there are so many things that could result in poor performance even though it sounds like it's running good!! just the tread design could make a huge difference.
It's very easy to inspect the CVT and view the components working to verify, or eliminate it as a suspect. Pull the cover, jack-it up where the wheels can turn, visually inspect the inside of the case for rubber debris,oil,water,ect... then fire it up and watch the components while throttling the engine to see if the belt rides to the outer edges of the pulleys without slippage.
