Default BuggyMasters Review: Murray Kilowatt Go Kart

These were probably really the thing to have in their day. There are a couple of issues with them, however. The most important would be the fact that Murray is no longer available so getting parts is quite a task. You may still be able to find some at various on line outlets though.

If you need something like...say an axle, good luck. The weight of this machine vs jumps bent this one pretty good. Had to buy an axle not quite made for it from Northern Tool and then modify it to make it work with it.

Otherwise, it is pretty well built and looks decent. Uses a Tecumseh engine which is prone to the typical Tecumseh carb issues but ran good other wise.

One thing that is a plus about this machine is Murray uses a unique engine mounting system that lends itself well to anyone that wants to do an engine conversion from say a motorcycle or something. Great candidate for that.

Pros: Pretty good looking machine. Unique engine mounting system

Cons: Murray is out of business. Getting specific parts could be a chore.

Overall BuggyMasters rating: 4 out of 10.

I would have rated it a little higher if they were still in business.
