sped problem with helix. please hellp!!!!
for some reason its extremly low on power and wont break 10mph up hill. down hill it take a LONG time to even go 20. the fuel filter is black so i don't know if that has anything to do with it.and when i finally to get to about 2nd gear it lets out a very loud hising sound. i really need help!

Can you give us a few more symptoms- Does the engine sound like it's running well and revving up normally?

yeah, but even in neutral it takes a while. and the hissing sound is getting worse.

i would pull cvt cover
check belt and rollers in variator

it takes a while to rev up to full, its a little better now that i changed the fuel filter after so long. but the sound just keeps getting worse. and when the sound happens it instantly slows down. im not sure why. i think it would would be the belt or the bearings like you said.

I had a major problem with my CVT half a year ago. I would be driving and all of a sudden it would rev up as if it were in neutral and I'd be slowing down. When I'd stop and inspect the engine, smoke would be pouring out of the CVT exhaust and I would smell burnt rubber. Turns out the clutch was eating the belt that we kept replacing. We ended up replacing the clutch, variator and belt. Worked (and still works) like a charm.

The life span of a CVT sytem has everything to do with the abuse you subject it to and the simple maintenance you provide. For instance if you climb hills from a stand-still alot it will wear the sliders out very fast. If you brake with your foot on the gas will wear the belt fast- these are just examples. So your driving style may result in pre-mature wear even though you think it's fairly new product. Without pulling the CVT cover you'll not know if it's engine related or final gear problem. If you keep driving it with this issue you WILL tear up something more expensive.
I've had a couple of GY6 engines that NEVER had the sliders or belt replaced before the engine went-These CVT systems are VERY realiable if they get proper cooling and the filter is cleaned regularly.

Where is the hissing comming from? It could be a vacume leak leanning the A/F mixture whick will cause loss of power. Intakes are known to crack also the plastic insolator or o-ring could be broken. TOM

well have you ever heard a fried electric motor? its a bit like that. it sounds like hissing or bad bearings. i don't know the problem. but i looked at it and i recently got it back from a repair shop. there was adhesive or glue around the black thing where the belt is. and its leaking black liquids, could that have something to do with it?

Did whoever worked on it from the shop you got it back from super glue it? Just curious-How do you know it's super glued?

i woould bet its gasket cement
or rtv used in place of a gasket either one you should be able to take off cvt cover fix whatever you need to clean cvt cover before reinstalling there should be a gasket between
