Default Size to re-jet

Just got my sons Carbide for Chirstmas this morning and I am already looking at some performance mods. I have a question: how do I know what size of jet to re-jet with after installing the Uni filter and stack? Thanks for the help

If you're near sea level, go for a 130 jet, if you're nearer to 3000' go 125 with the UNI and velocity stack.

Our Level 1 performance kit comes with both, just to cover your bases.

Mike, thanks for the info. I was looking at you website checking out the parts. So if go with the Uni filter and stack do I completely remove the air intake that came on the Carbide?

Josh, I copied these from your post:
Uni Air Filter
Removed Spark Arrestor
130 Main jet
1500 RPM main clutch spring

I am looking at the same to get started with but what is "removed spark arrestor"?

Yes, you have to take the whole air intake system off.

the spark arrestor is the metal screen mesh at the end of the exhaust. it restricts airflow. it should make it sound slightly deeper and give it a little bit more punch

130 main jet should be fine. Looks like Mike has you hooked up.

Any recommendation on brand and where to get a set of additional light to put on the Carbide? Can I wire extra light into the exsisting headlights and switch? I am thinking about mounting them under the forward most cross member on the roll bar, the one that the rear view mirror os on.

I've got a single halogen style light on the nose of ours that came from Walmart for $35 a pair and it works excellent. Just a little round thing. Check the electrical forum and I have a post on there with a pic. You would be fine to wire it to the existing switch.

Josh - don't get caught riding on public or Forest Service lands without that spark arrestor! Legally you have to have one to prevent accidentally starting a fire!

On your own or someone else's private land you're (legally) OK - just try not to start any fires there, either!

I agree with BuggyMaster. Get some nice 55w halogen lights from Walmart - make sure they're very low amps so you don't drain your battery faster than you can recharge it!
