Default My first buggy Helix 150!

Hey all. Just got my first buggy - (sounds so much better than "go -kart"). A Heilx 150 from TSC. Slightly used. Frustrating because the seatbelts locked up after 1 week. Any ideas on how to loosen them up? I already posted in the tech area...

Thanks

Got themopen and working freely but not sure for how long. Seems that the inertia locking mechanism is way too sensative and can stay locked very easily. -- what a pain!

Are you parked at an agle by chance? That will cause them to do that. Otherwise, what happens on the helix is since they don't have mudflaps (unless you make them like we did on ours) the mud slings off of the back tire directly onto the seatbelts and runs down into the mechanism. What you can try to do is take a hose and spray directly into the slot on the top and flush out whatever is causing them to be locked up.

Buy a good 4 0r 5 point 2 or 3" race harness, about 60.00 bux each. Forget the problems, and buggy safer than stock.
