Hi guys, I've not been on here in awhile due to work demands!!! that being said I finally got my engine back together and in the buggy, it runs smooth, but I'm having issues with my variator. when I start the buggy it runs fine for a minute then it stalls out due to the belt tightening up on variator bell! Its my first engine rebuild and I've looked for guidance online videos to see what I'm doing wrong, but have not found anything yet, soooo what about it guys!?

did you find out what your problem was bear? the only thing I could think of was maybe a spacer missing not letting it free wheel when needed. just guessing here.

Sounds as if maybe a slider weight came loose or moved when installing it.

I had a similar scenario a few weeks back.i actually had a slightly stretched clutch spring. I ran and idled fine until it warmed up then it would try pulling itself slightly and kill the engine.relaced with another clutch unit and problem solved
