Default clutch spring?

Hey, I am new here. I have a go kart I bought used. (2 seater) Its originally from tractor supply. Silver Fox. 6.5 hp subaru.n Runs and goes good. Where we live there are lots of hills. With both of my kids in it stuggles goin up hills. I put a new driver clutch from go kart supply and a new belt on and removed and cleaned the driven clutch and installed a new spring. I want more low end power. Should I install a stiffer spring? Where do I get one?

Thanks

I'm not familiar with that model.

How about posting pics?

If it has a Torque A Verter (TAV) you can get stiffer springs, but that only changes your shifting points.

It sounds like you actually need a different gear installed. Either on the axle (more teeth for more torque, but will reduce top speed) Or a smaller tooth gear on the engine output side. (same thing as bigger axle sprocket) depending on what's available for that kart.

How many teeth are on your sprockets? Both engine and axle.

Is your axle keyed?
