Default Predator Or GY6150

Just a thought. The gy6150 seems like no matter the upgrades, p and p, exhaust, etc. it will never have the power to pull a buggy with two people very fast nor have the torque for big hills. Maybe you can tell me otherwise.

However, what about that 600 predator engine. I know it will take some modding and not have that cool reverse, but do you think that would solve the power issues?

I started working on putting one in my kinroad but ended up ditching the idea. Decided I want to keep the atv 4X4 so I'm building my own frame. Using the diffs out of a Suzuki I have (selective front but 350cc and smoked) and the engine out of a 400 Kawasaki (it was awd, liquid cooled, and runs good).

Just gonna let my son have the 150 buggy to thrash on in the pasture. The more I tore into it the more I find neglected by the PO I would be basically building a new one anyways to make it hold up to 4x4 400cc.

Try to find ya a 200-300cc air cooled and it's not real hard swap. Granted there is some cutting and welding. I had a honda 200trx I was planning on using before I had the 400 given to me. IMHO those are just about ideal for a swap with a small increase of power. My area they were pretty popular and easy to find bikes not worth fixing but have a good drivetrain. YMMV
