new carb question
I installed a new carb on my 150xrx. Do I need to prime the carb with fuel or how do I get fuel down to the carb so I can start it? Thanks for the info.

Shooting a blast of starting fluid in there ought to be enough to get it started and primed I think. Once started, then it's a matter of adjusting the low speed idle unless you have one of those carbs that tries to prevent that.

I believe the fuel is gravity fed. Once the bowl has fuel it should start.

The petcock is vacuum operated. Fuel will not flow until vacuum from the engine is applied. Cranking the engine will be enough to get fuel flow started, but may take a little longer to fill the bowl enough to start. You could manually apply vacuum to the line to fill the bowl before starting, but it shouldn't be necessary unless you have a weak battery.
