Default Bourbon Trail Buggy...

New to buggies and Chinese mechanical repair. Bought a buggy someone was going to scrap. It is a Carter Talon 150cc but do not know what year. It does have an 8 pole stator but it came with no battery, no CDI, no regulator, no resistor, etc...

You guys which put together this site and contribute to this site have helped me advance to the point that I can actually start screwing things back together finally. I think the wiring issue is straight and if not, I should be able to wire it to start without a lot of the components in the circuit.

Once again, thank you and hopefully I'll be able to participate and contribute as time goes on.

Thanks. His manuals are similar to one's I've found previously.

However, both manuals for the Carter 150 buggy I've found don't match the electrical nightmare I had.

There was enough common between what was there in the manuals and what I had that I was able to develop a wiring schematic that would work for what I have. The information here on this site combined with what was in the manuals has led me to believe that there can be a few or multiple changes on a single buggy model. Ie... 4 wire regulator vs 5 wire regulator or ignition relay vs no ignition relay, various wire color changes, key ignition vs push button ignition, etc... The change list was endless in other words.

Hopefully somewhere along the way I've found something to help someone else as posters here have unknowingly helped me find my way through this buggy nightmare.
