Default Wheel Hub Question

Hey all, I was wondering how you go about measuring a wheel to find out what the bolt pattern is? I'm building a wagon for my youngest using some 16x8-7 knobbys that someone gave me and I'm gonna need some hubs to make it all work. Do you measure the stud holes across the center opening or do you measure to the one that's right next store? Thanks!

I believe with a four bolt pattern it is across. Check google and you will find the answer, I google a lot of things and get awesome answers.

The bolt hole measurement is the distance between two opposite holes (the two farthest apart). Well heck, that was almost too easy!
