Default 1989 Warrior 350

http://wheeling.craigslist.org/sno/4358883724.html
I have been looking at this for 2 weeks now. The guy will accept $250, but I am trying to get him to $200
I will either use this motor for my first frankenbuggy or rebuild the warrior. Hopefully he accepts $200 so I can get it this weekend.

I stuffed one of those --about the same vintage --- into a tree really hard once ... I never get to live that down as my buddy still has it complete with the completely flattened and smashed in front bumper. About a perfect powerplant for a transplant, more than a 250, but not so much as to be totally over the limit for a minibuggy with some minor front end tweaking.

Yup. Been searching for something similar for a while. If it runs well, $250 is still a decent deal.

He is out of town right now. I told him not a penny more than $225. Hopefully he takes it and it pans out.

That doesn't look like an 89 warrior to me, as 89's had the headlights down on the bumper and had pullstart back up. To me it looks exactly like my 99 warrior. Most engine parts should be the same as they didn't change much throughout the years but you need to make sure of exact year just incase.

I will check it out Reaper. I am now thinking if i get it if I should just rebuild the quad. It would be nice to use with for utility work around the house. ( decisions decisions).
I think it has pull start, but the way he wrote it (without commas) is confusing. It looks like he has the parts for pull start.
Will see what happens when he is back in town.

It did fall through, first because we worked opposite weekends.
2nd because I felt I should start with a small basic go kart before move to a large detailed bugg build. Since I am a novice welder.
I am close to being done with current go kart. Then I want to Get an old yerf dog and stretch the frame put in four seats and a 13 plus hp motor. Also I want something with shocks to step up my welding, designing, and fab skills.
Then if all is plumb and sound i will attempt a bigger build. I Need fundamentals 1st.

I kind of figured that since there was no update here. That 4 seater is gonna be one very interesting build. Can't wait to see it come together if you do indeed decide to build it. That 13 hp will be plenty of power that's for sure. Thanks for the update.
