Default Hammerhead gear grind

Hello all!
Brand new to go karts with a 2020 Hammerhead GTS Platinum. Less than 10 miles on it. Christmas Day we rode it a few miles with no issues. The last two days since, occasionally after shifting to forward and then hitting the gas to go it grinds real bad like it is not in gear correctly. Any suggestions on what to adjust or what process we might be doing wrong with shifting?
Thank you in advance!
Jon

When this happens you should adjust the shifter cable. You can adjust it at where the cable comes out of the shifter housing, or at the back. I think I adjusted mine at the back...

Thanks for the response. Do I need to tighten or loosen the cable?

On mine I tightened the cable, there was too much slop and it wasnt fully engaging.
