Default Modified Predator 420cc? (non-hemi)

I'm going to be using a predator 420 on about a 400lb off-road buggy and im looking for a top speed of 45 - 50 mph with a good pull on takeoff. I do realize I would need a pretty hefty performance kit and probably head work. My focus is hp. I'm starting stock and working my way up. Is this feasible for a buggy that heavy?

Ive seen alot of offroad buggies burn through belts. I don't know if the 40 series torque converter could withstand that speed and torque. I just don't won't to buy a high maintenance converter.

I know a company in texas has been working on beefing up a converter to handle hopped up 670s. Not sure on the rules of posting non vender info here tho.
