hey
Hey guys is this considered a mini buggy or a go kart? Well any way I'm putn a 1000cc honda motorcycle engine on it an I was wanting to know if I had to mod ithe rear axle on it I already know I have to flip the axle but that aint a problem so plz help me out an send me a pic on how u do it or how u did yours if ya can thanx

i would think with a bigger motor you will have to extend frame

Olderthan is correct- flipping your axle looks logical but still won't work unless you add about 18" to the swingarm infront of the axle as the motorcycle engine won't let you run the chain straight down or forward. To minimize stretching the frame alot running a jackshaft with the axle in it's current configuration would be my advise.The 1" axle is WAY too weak for that kind of torque.You'll be adding almost 50lbs more to the rear and the laid over shocks won't carry it. In my experience you need 22" min. for this type engine to the drive sprocket.Also the stock sprocket is 410 chain-NOT enough so changing to 530 chain (stock on the motorcycle engine) will need to be addressed.This is just a few items to consider, there are many more things to ponder!!!!
