Default 150 American Sportworks 7150 Carbide Quantum

just found a used 150 American Sportworks 7150 Carbide Quantum. It is in great shape but it has a mechanical problem of some sort. When you give it gas it acts like the clutch is slipping a bit because it revs up some and then it will jerk and make a bang noise and then go. Then when you shift into reverse it will do the same thing. Has anyone else ran into this before or know what it could be?

Thanks
Andy

It is hard to say without seeing or hearing. It could either be clutch related or transmission. ASW buggies are notorious for transmission gears tearing up when someone throws it from fwd to rev or visa versa. East y fix though with parts cost of $125.00 or so.
