Lightbulb Spiderbox tail light?

Anyone know how to get a tail light on a spiderbox so it lights up when you break? And what about turn signals? I know I can use bike kits, but that just "isn't right".

Thnx

if a tail light lights up when you brake, its not a tail light its a brake light. lol you can't run both off one circuit. Too bad you live so far away, I would love to teach you some of these things with all your energy. you doing the work and learning as you go and me teaching you how to do it. I am planning on and already have all the parts to put brake lights on my second crossfire cart. if the tail light on your cart has only 2 wires you can only have one, either a tail light or a brake light, for it to work properly. for both tail and brake lights you need a 3 wire system, with a double filament bulb.

I think you need to slow down and enjoy what you have as a cart and ride it for a while. don't put so much money in it, you would never be able get at least some of your money back out of it.

I need to add that so I can ride it in the neighborhood "legally". Shouldn't I find a pressure switch for under the brake pedal? Or should I work something out and have it so when the brake rod moves it moves a switch?

Just curious.... If you have that you can ride legally? What about hand signals?

I got pulled over last month outside my neighborhood in the next neighborhood.
The officer was really nice and let me go. He told me he had a UTV, loves riding, and thought my buggy was pretty cool. He said I could not be on the road unless it is an insured vehicle and DMV approved. Just saying.....

Here in GA, (at least according to the police officer my dad asked)

They want...
1) Headlights
2) Tail-lights
3) Turn signals
4) Horn
5) Seat-belts
6) Licensed driver

I'm 14 in December, so I've got a year till my permit!

there is already a switch on the brake rod....

its just being used to make the buggy not start unless the brake is pushed

just use it for the brake light instead

Cool

Well...if that's what it is for, than we have an issue. I can start the buggy without my foot on the brake (even though I normally do). Welp. I'll just use the existing switch. Thanks!

as 2slick put on here, also here in S.C. the vehicle has to be registered with the dmv which means it has to have some kind of title, or bill of origin. and insured.

Just happened to be looking around the electrical parts, and I found the switch (in plain sight). So, do I cut the wires from the switch to the e box and wire it with a battery and break light? Or will the engine cutoff thing do it's job and not let me start the buggy? As is, the switch doesn't seem to work. I can start the buggy regardless of whether my foot is on or off the brake.

Edit: Just got some new headlights, and I took the one remaining working light on the Yerfie and I mounted it on the back bars and sprayed the bulb red. After testing, it lights up just fine and will make a nice makeshift light, and for free, I'll take it! I just have to let the paint on the actual light housing dry. Pics up tomorrow evening!
