Default 2 Carter Talons and a spare gy6 engine

One starts, but will not stay running and is stuck in high gear. I replaced the belt and now it will not go to a lower gear ratio.

The other ran fine all weekend then died. Could be terminal.

The bonus I have one spare motor, but have never tried to start it.

Both are in bad condition - peeling paint, rust, bent parts, nothing electrical works.

If I put these on craigslist in South Georgia, any idea what I might get for them? Anything more than scrap value? If not, what is scrap value??

Pics upon request.

I've paid as little as 100 bucks and as high as 300 for a dead buggy.

Are you sure the one with the shifting issue isn't just the wrong belt?

I would say 100-200 dollars since they do not run. I see them in excellent shape selling for 500-700 dollars. They sold new on average 2500.00 back in there day's.

This thread is from 2015. I don't think they'd still be available.
