Got 11g rollers and 2500rpm spring. What can I expect?
Hey Gents,
After reading a bunch of posts, I went with 11g rollers and a 2500rpm clutch spring. I'm still not sure if I should have went with the 1500 rpm spring though. Anybody have this setup? What can I expect? I have the ASW carbide 150, bone stock. What's the stock spring rpm rating? Thanks. |

Great if your negotiating tight trails where you don't reach top speed a lot. Good torque, good acceleration. motor will spin up quick and down shift fast. Strong pulling out of tight turns. Not the best setup for extended high speeds.

I have the same buggy and have been thinking about swapping rollers and springs as well. I am curious as to what the difference in the above set up would be if the 2500 rpm spring were replaced by a 1500 rpm one?

Well, I plan on swapping it out this weekend, so I'll let you know. I talked with Tom over at SYC Powersports and he seems to think the 2000 rpm might be a little heave with my 11g rollers. I guess we'll find out!

Yeah, please let me know how it works out. I'm kinda torn because I like low end torque, but I don't want to lose a lot of top end.

Well, I put the rollers in but didn't have a big enough wrench to get the clutch apart, so stock spring was left in. Noticed more pep in the bottom end. Not much, but enough to notice an increase in rpm. Can't be certain about losing any top end. Didn't feel like it did.
Anybody know what the stock spring rpm is? |
