Would you agree this is the color of a properly tuned engine running on un-leaded fuel?

I believe it to be the proper color of any fuel. I run the 108 leaded fuel and this is the color of mine but maybe a bit darker but I run on the rich side for more chamber cooling. The more important thing to check in my opinion is the plug for this is the optimum color the plug should be but again I certainly know Al Gore strongly disagrees with my views on this. But my concern is getting the most use from my equiptment whereas he is concerned about the South African Tit Mouse Mesapotanium Flea which if eradicater from existence will affect the entire world eco system. LOL

Well back in the day my exhaust would be a light tan. If the exhaust is this color the plug will be too !! But most pipes don't end up running WOT most of the time so they end up just black-I wish I could get my buggies to run this efficiently.
The pipe is on my Harley and noticed it after taking a trip to the twisties in the mountains before washing off all the bugs!!! Figured someone would appreciate it other than me!!
I take piles of crap and RECYCLE them into fun machines- does that make me a Gore sympathizer?!!!!!

Heck no not with an exhaust looking like that, in fact he would be disapointed in you and demand that you turn that Harley into a Hybrid that runs off of windmill/solar power, as he rides in his chaufer driven limo to the mailbox 100 feet from his front door and it idles with the twin A/C units running as he reads the funny section of his news paper along with his mail than is returned to his home that uses more electricity in one month then the average American uses in one year. Then again the person who invented the internet owns this right. Now I am not trying to talk you down or even discourage you for one day you too can become as important as he and it would not matter what color your exhaust might be, for all you need is enough of someone elses money and naturally a few drugs well maybe more then a few drugs and you too can be anything you want to be and who knows you may even find a cure for polio. Now as for me I have copped an attitude to just P%ss off people like Al now let me hear an AMEN. OK I'm OK now and I'm back, my buggy exhaust will look similar to yours after wide open runs but not at all after idling. If fact my buggy will not idle long due to the OPEC cam I run. LOL

Sorry it took so long to respond (Amen) but it took quite an effort collecting a dozen or so South African tit mouse mesapotanium fleas to send by snail mail to our all green Al. Just imagine Al opening the envelope and how fast those guys would cling to him in an airconditioned limo!!He'd really be doing his part then!
