Default New from Alberta

Hello all.

Purchased a project Trailmaster 150XRX a few weeks back and have been tinkering on it to get it running (accomplished) and find the parts required to make it "right" once more. Had it out May long weekend in the rain...and mud....everyone had a great time.

Have installed some led lighting to replace the two factory lights on the roll bar...substantial improvement.

If anyone has a good source of parts for these things in Canada, that would be helpful.

Otherwise...grew up on a farm in "black dirt Alberta", oilfield instrument mechanic 27yrs and counting (started a home business when boss retired) and heavy equipment (wheel loader) operator in the mean time. Machining, building and shoot airguns (pcp type) as my main hobbies.

There's a good gy6 150cc supplier in Quebec that offers stock and performance engine parts, electrical, variators http://scootertuning.ca/en/

I ordered parts from this place a few times and it was good stuff, and in CDN $$ with no duty fees. If they don't have the parts I need then I go looking in the USA.

Oldkid...on the off chance...no offense was taken or intended. Those two (and a bunch of others) I first saw on SCTV...sort of like a Canadian version of Saturday Night Live....fond memories.

Hoping to discover some new places to ride in the near future. In the mean time....have a few acres of pasture and some ditches that suffice. Just getting back into this sort of thing and have a bunch to learn.

Gy6....the link is appreciated, thank you!

Regards,

Al

McKenzie brothers rule , John Candy RIP . Grew up within a mile of the border , actually I live about a half mile from a crossing . Spent a lot of summers renting cottages in Southern Ontario many moons ago . Used to have a lot of areas to ride in Canada ( trucks , dirt bikes , etc. ) along the Welland Canal 20 years ago . But just like here Liability and other factors sprouted up No Trespassing signs everywhere .Than came 9/11 , made it extremely difficult to cross the border . Check out my photo album , should be a picture of some of our stuff parked in front of a Tim Horton's . One of our areas we ride has a powerline trail that leads to it . Has become a regular part of our rides . " Time for a Timmy's Eh " down the ruts and thru the drive-thru on Buggy's , and ATV's . Turns a lot of heads .
