Default Rut roe...Found another one

Heading out @ 3am on a fast & furious 1100 mile road trip to bring home another 350 Odyssey. I am not sure what exactly I will do with it yet, but it's just to good to pass up. It's a sickness I tell you...

Thanks for the support on my terrible addiction.

I got back last night about 7PM and to say my dogs were dragging was an understatement. Anyway, it was smooth trip I ended up leaving @ 2am instead and all went well. The seller was a very nice and even though I could tell once I got there he was really wishing I wouldn't take it for the agreed price, he was a stand up guy and held for me with out any drama, thanks again Chris.

Here are a few pics of the Ody. Its ruff as one would expect, but I could tell from his original pics it had Works shocks up front a 500.00 item by them self, but also has Works in the rear and a PowerBloc clutch on it. My daughter had been foaming at the mouth for one of those ever since i put the Pilot Powerbloc on the side by side. So it will be her lucky day the front Works and the clutch will go onto hers and the rear Works shocks will end up on the Side by Side which it desperately needs. The top end is blown up which is pretty typical on the 350 Odys, but I dont even care it was a great deal even after 275.00 worth a Diesel to go pick it up.

Question...
How do you know you have a buggy addiction??????

Answer.......
When you open you garage & looks like this.

And just a dorky video I made to keep myself awake on the road trip.

I hear you & have had the same problem with cars in the past, would takes me 20 minutes to shuffle them all around to get to the one I wanted.

I agree

Well I pulled the shocks, fenders, rear wheels & clutch off and my just try & flip the Ody to get what i have investmented back & maybe a few bucks for my effort. I told my wife I would try and sell whats left as a project first and then if there was no interest I would just part it out. I had a guy contact me this morning that saw my Side by Side Ody videos on youtube that wants to follow my lead & try too build one. This would be a great machine to do side by side with because it is so complete and the frame is less than perfect so you wouldn't feel bad to start cutting on it. The good news is I pulled the head and the cylinder looks good and still has 1 more bore left, but I think you could do a light hone and just replace the piston and be back up running again.

I am not sure what will happen with him, but I think it would be cool to see another conversion done too see what he may do different than I did.

Since we all love pics... here is how she looks now.

You could say that. All joking aside, that Yerf is a great little buggy my whole family has really enjoyed. Since my oldest moved up to the 350 Odyssey, my now 7 year old has taken over the Yerf. She is a terror behind the wheel of that thing, & when I ride with her, I feel like I need a stiff drink afterwards to calm my nerves.

lol... but it's fun isn't it.

Thought I would give you all an update on the Tonopah Odyssey.

I sold it to a guy in Santa Fe a month or so ago & he claimed he was going to do a ground up rebuild restoration on it similar to what I did on my daughter's 350. He said he had one as kid and has always wanted a replacement, so I think it went to a good home. I did tell him about this site so maybe he will pop in and give us all an update from time to time.

Me being the buggy addict that I have turned into, I just couldn't leave well enough alone and made another quick trip to Phoenix the following week and bought this POS.

I left the Blue body with the guy as I figured it would just blow off on highway, plus it saved me a trip to the dump once i got home.

It's another.... well let me rephrase, it is whats left of a FL350 Odyssey.

Here are a few pics of what it looks like with out the carnival body on it..

Gotta love this long travel front end..

Again I have no idea what I will do with it, maybe another side x side project or just parts. You can never seem to have enough spare parts with these old things..
