Default I was given an old buggy that has been sitting for years. Where do i\I begin?

Hi! I was recently given an old buggy that has been sitting in a shed for years. It's a little small, but nothing I can't manage. It is missing the key and a tire. The gas has also been sitting for years and battery was still connected. I have ZERO experience with these types of things. But, I am willing to put in the time and labor. Whatever advice you have will help!

I would see if it has spark and compression. After that, clean the carb and the tank and see if it runs.

Sorry if I sound annoying. But, how can I see if it has sparks and the compression. Also I am missing the key and a tire. So, how could I get replacements.

Thank you!

P.S. I have included a picture of the key connection.

Copper, it's not really a complicated process, but a little too involved for a post on a forum.
You don't have mechanically inclined friend that could help you?

simple hand tools and a little time cleaning things and not only will you have your buggy up and running... but learn a lot about simple mechanics...

youtube search.

"gy6 150cc wont start"

are you missing a tire... or a whole wheel?
replacements for both are available on ebay. match up the numbers to the wheel and tire on the other side and order the same size/style.

Do you happen to know the brand of buggy? It should be somewhere or on a plate or label. Post some pics of the engine.
