Arrow Yerf dog front suspenion help

I'm needing a simple solution to my front end. I looking for some larger tires for the front. I know I need that. On the shocks what is the max lenght I can use. but not causing me to have to do mager work to the tie rods and steering. I also neeed to replace the ball joints, but is there a bushing at the other end of the A frame that I should address? My kart is an 04 spiderbox 3206 and I love the kart, so please help.

Define "Major work"? Have you researched other Spiderbox posts on this forum yet? Do that first - It'll probably give you all the explainations needed to answer your questions.
If you don't find what you need we can definetly help you.

Default Spiderbox Suspension

Ball joints are available at McMaster.com Get the 10 mm I've been running them on mine they are only $10 a piece insted of $99 a set at another GoCart place. You just have to buy some 3/8 fender washers. You sandwich one washer between two. The middle washer you have to turn the diameter down to fit the huge hole left by the old ball joint. If you need anything let me know and I will be glad to help.

The retainers will fail in the McMaster joints after a period of time. Buggy Depot's joints have a lifetime warranty and are much beefier. Yes, I have run both.

Default Ball Joints

Nothing a 3/4 ID snap ring won't fix. I guess it all depends on how much you want to spend and how handy you are in the garage. I'm currently working on solving the ball joint problem by copying the front suspension design from Baja trophy trucks. I've welded since high school and been a machinist all my life so something as simple as the front suspension on a GoCart is not a problem for me. But then again most people don't know where the on switch is on a left handed screwdriver.
